Top 100 Travel Blogs To Follow For Incredible Inspiration
Got a touch of wanderlust coming on? Feel like getting inspired to pack your bags and get on a plane very soon? Sounds to us like you need to check some travel blogs out!
Here at Beauty and Tips, we love a good travel blog. Travel blogs give us a glimpse into other worlds and inspire us with ideas for what to do next.
The thing is, though, that not every experience is the same, not every traveller is the same – and not every travel blog is the same. If you’re a tad stuck and don’t know where to look for the best beaches, rain forests, mountains or just your next adventure, we’ve scoured the internet and found the top 100 travel blogs to follow for incredible inspiration.
Of course, we also know that there’s a LOT more to travelling than whether Bali has better sunsets than Thailand, which is why we’ve also collated blogs dedicated to saving you cash, blogs that help you pick up more frequent flyer points and blogs that offer lots of travel tips and tricks.
Wanna know what these blogs are? Let’s take a look!
Nomadic Matt
Two things you need to know about Nomadic Matt:
1) He travels on a budget (he once wrote a book called How To Travel The World On $50 a Day
2) He hates flying
The second thing seems kinda odd at first – how can you love to travel but hate flying at the same time?!
Well, Matt makes it work and what we love about him is his humility. He’s just a regular dude with a cool blog who’s sharing his love of travelling with y’all. He doesn’t see himself as an expert – he’s a traveller who blogs. That’s it!
Fortunately for us all, he’s actually a pretty cool blogger.
Here’s a link to his blog:
And here’s a quote that demonstrates his humble nature:
“I’ve met a lot of travelers who disparage the route others take, and I can’t stand it. Yes, I’ll give you my suggestions and tips on what to see and do in Berlin. I’ll give you tips about how you can travel cheaply based on my experience. I’ll think out loud about the nature of travel and my personal thoughts on it as a way to help me hash out my feelings. If you want to read along and comment, all the better.
“But I’ll never make accusations about where you decide to go. That’s your own personal choice. I find it extremely condescending when travelers talk down to others because of their destination choices. I see this all the time on the backpacker trail. I don’t believe there’s any such thing as must-see or must-do when you travel.”
Vagabondish
Mike Richard knows a thing or two about backpacking. He lives and breathes it. He is backpacking.
And he loves to share everything he’s learned over the years with you via his blog.
On Vagabondish you’ll find all sorts of useful articles, such as “I’m Going Travelling, Dammit! (When To Ignore The Bad Advice of Others” and “5 Travel Games For The Road, The Flight and Beyond”.
Mike’s site is jam packed with a wealth of information that will help you become a better backpacker.
And his photographs are just pure eye candy! Seriously – check them out. He has a whole section dedicated to just photographs, and if that doesn’t make you want to pack up and go travelling then we don’t know what will.
Vagabondish is overall a bit offbeat and it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if it sounds like your thing, you can check it out here:
View From the Wing
If – unlike our Matt – you’re not afraid of flying and if – unlike our Mike up there – you don’t see yourself as a vagabond, you might want to check out View From the Wing.
View from the Wing is Gary Leff’s brainchild. Who is Gary? He’s a frequent flyer who uses his blog to keep you up to date with all things travel related.
Gary is cool because he’s one of those dudes who knows points. If you’ve always wanted to know how frequent flyers rack up points, he’s the man to go to. He WILL save you cash on your next flight!
Gary also offers lots of useful news related to specific airlines. So if there’s a specific airline you prefer to fly on, keep checking his blog for the latest news.

Lost With Purpose
Lost with Purpose is a travel blog co-founded and maintained by Alex and Sebastien. The places they get to are the – shall we say – less traveled parts of the world.
So instead of Paris and Tokyo, they show you the delights of Pakistan and Iran.
For anyone who’s always wanted to see these countries but are a bit wary, Lost with Purpose is the perfect blog. Alex and Sebastien offer plenty of advice and information on the places they visit, and they show you another – better – side to countries that are suffering from bad publicity in the media.
Of course, Alex and Sebastien aren’t blind. They know that some parts of the world are more perilous than others. But what they want to show you is that you can visit these countries and still have a good time if you do the right things.
Check out their blog here:
Two Bad Tourists
Two Bad Tourists are a proud, young gay couple who admit that they are also a pair of bad tourists. But as they show with their blog, there’s actually nothing wrong with being a bad tourist!
Auston and David don’t hide the fact that they are gay. In fact, they flaunt it on their blog because they know that the world perceives the LGBT community differently. As such, they use their blog to help fellow LGBT people travel to far-flung places and have a great time without running into trouble. They even have an entire section dedicated to Gay City Guides.
The best thing about Two Bad Tourists? It’s painfully hilarious!
Check out their blog here:
Landlopers
Matt – OMG another Matt – is the man behind Landlopers.
Who is he? He’s a traveller who likes the finer things in life, such as experiential luxury travel. He uses his blog to document his travels around the world and showcase how he lives the good life.
Matt isn’t the kind of dude who travels with a backpack slung over his shoulders. He prefers to travel in style and he’s visited 70 different countries sprawled across 7 different continents.
Check him out here:
Two Monkeys Travel
The pair behind Two Monkeys Travel are actually a loved up pair of newlyweds who lovingly call themselves monkeys. Cute? Maybe. But what’s more important is that they love to travel – and love to share their experiences and tips with you.
And, boy, are they experienced! They’ve visited more than 70 countries together and definitely have both the love bug and the travel bug.
They like the finer things in life. They love an adventure, but they also love a bit of luxury, too. So you might find them rock climbing and camping out in the wilds one minute, and checking into a five star hotel the next.
They also use their blog to share tips related to visa. Also, if you’re considering going abroad to volunteer, there are plenty of tips on that subject on here, too.
Check their blog out here:
The Expeditioner
What we love about The Expeditioner is that Matt made up a new word for his blog and still gets found on Google. High five, Matt!
Okay, what we really love about his blog is that Matt invites writers from all over the planet to write for The Expeditioner. This means you get a range of tips from a range of expert who are scattered over the four corners of our world.
Check out the blog here:
The Poor Traveler
The Poor Traveler is actually two poor travellers – Vins and Yoshke – who’s aim is to help fellow travellers like themselves travel more often on a budget.
After all, one of the things that prevents many of us from travelling more often is a lack of funds. We want to travel more but we just don’t have the cash. And we’re always left scratching our heads, wondering how on earth people our age with worse jobs than us can travel so often!
Well, they probably read blogs like The Poor Traveller. That said, these guys admit that they’re not hardcore backpackers. Instead, they’re merely casual travellers. However, they’ve been to a lot of places and their website comes with a detailed guide on various countries.
The pair have also made mistakes and use their blog to show you how can avoid the same misadventures as them.
Check out their blog here:
The Travelling Light
We think that Travelling Light is such an evocative name for a blog. Of course, it refers to one who travels light, but it also makes us think wistfully of distant lights in the dark that guide travels to their next destination.
Katie is the travel blogger behind The Travelling Light. She’s a nomadic freelance writer who travels to places that aren’t often mentioned. Hers is the road less travelled – to use a popular phrase – and she particularly enjoys visiting places that she calls “soulful.”
She’s not on the road all year round, however. While she refers to herself as a nomadic freelancer, she divides her year 50/50 between the road and her home, which she shares with her boyfriend.
Here’s a great quote where she discusses the things she likes to do when she’s at home:
“Spend time with my boyfriend, family and friends. We go hiking and wild swimming in Brisbane’s surrounds, eat Vietnamese pho at my favourite place in West End, drive out of the city on weekends to the most beautiful beaches (Caloundra at the Sunshine Coast is my favourite). I also love working at the Queensland State Library during the week and taking lunch breaks wandering the Gallery of Modern Art nearby. And I love to work at this great co-working space, Prospect Studios to meet other freelancers and start-ups.”
Check Katie out here:
One Mile At A Time
Earlier, we mentioned a blog written by a man called Gary Leff who knows his stuff about flyer points. Another dude who knows his stuff in this area is Ben Schlappig, who goes by the name Lucky.
Ben does a LOT of flying. In fact, he flies 400,000 miles a year.
Seriously, is he ever on the ground?!
Flying so much means that Ben knows every trick there is to know. If anyone – even Gary Leff – knows more about credit car points and miles than Ben, well, we’ll be damned!
Ben knows the travel industry inside out, and if you’re a bit stuck for something, all you need to do is pop over to his blog to see if he’s got the answers.
And unlike most of the rest of us, he happens to enjoy airports. He might just be insane – but don’t let that stop you from checking him out here!
Johnny Jet
Okay Ben and Gary know their stuff when it comes to airports, points and airlines, but Johnny is the man to go to if you want to get the best flight deal.
Johnny’s scope of interest goes beyond just bargain flight deals, though. He uses his blog to keep you up to date with the weather situation in specific regions and he’s also pretty good with ephemeral credit card deals.
Johnny also has a newsletter you should totally be subscribing to if you want to stay up to date with all the latest deals and travel tips.

Flirting With The Globe
Flirting With The Globe is Karisa Klee’s baby. It’s a travel blog dedicated to those of us who simply don’t have the time to fall head over heels in love with the world and get into a long-term relationship with it. Instead, all we can do is flirt with the globe from time to time and have a fling!
If your vacation time is strictly limited to a few weeks at the most each year, Karisa is here to show you how you can still have a fine time travelling the world.
Karisa herself leads the way. She work in law as an attorney, and as such she doesn’t have a great deal of time to go travelling. But she doesn’t sit around moaning, and neither does she wistfully spend her time dreaming about what could happen. Instead, she uses her spare hours wisely and has so far travelled to around 40 different countries.
If an attorney can do it, why can’t you?

Solo Traveller
Travelling alone isn’t easy and many of us think of reasons not to do it, but as Janice shows in her blog – Solo Traveller – sometimes we just need a reason to give us the push to fly solo.
For Janice, it was personal loss that finally convinced her to travel by herself back in 2009. She hasn’t looked back since.
Once she hit the road, Janice decided that the best way to stay in touch with “someone” and not feel so alone was by starting a blog. Solo Traveller was born, but she then decided to take it one step further. After all, a blog was just her mouthpiece; she was talking at people rather than with them. As such, she decided to turn Solo Traveller into a full-on community.
And that’s what it is today: It’s a place for solo travellers to gather together and share their own advice and experiences on the blog.
Janice still posts fresh content too, of course. She likes to talk about why one would travel solo, as well as how to do it.
Check the blog out here:
Here’s a quote where Janice talks about some of her favourite destinations:
“For solo travel I like going off the beaten path a bit. While I have done London and Paris solo (and wouldn’t miss such iconic cities) I really love going to places with smaller populations where I have a better chance of meeting people. Ambleside in the Lake District of England was wonderful. Another hiking holiday was Torres del Paine in Patagonia. State-side, places like Bar Harbor, Maine or even Rochester, New York. I absolutely loved Chautatuqua Institution in Chautauqua, New York – it’s like a summer university for adults with week-long courses. I’m going back this summer. I loved it so much that I offered to teach a course on blogging and social media for beginners.”
Don’t Forget To Move
Now that you’ve mentioned it, we won’t be forgetting to move in a hurry!
Don’t Forget To Move is a joint blog created and maintained by Jules and Christine. It’s a blog for more experienced travellers and adventurers who have no problem leaving the beaten track and exploring somewhere different. It’s for backpackers, but it’s for backpackers who want to follow a different trail than usual.
In other words, it could well be the blog you’ve been searching for all this darn time.
Jules and Christine have a mega thirst for epic adventures, and you’ll be able to catch them all on their blog. But what they want the most out of life is awesome frigging memories!
The pair also like to educate themselves on local cultures and they like go volunteer and learn about the environment.
If this all sounds amazing to you, you can check their blog out here:
Roads and Kingdoms
Roads and Kingdoms sounds like a pretty grandiose name for a travel blog – but this is not a normal travel blog.
For example, one recent post was called “underground With South Korea’s Illegal Tattoo Artists”, while another was titled “Can Mexican Corn Be Saved?”
Interesting topic titles! And they might have you asking, “is this even a travel blog at all?”
Technically, it’s an indie journal that covers more than just travel. As you might have also guessed, it covers topics like culture and politics.
That said, it does cover travel too, and it attempts to give you an insight into what to expect when you visit different countries and amp up your knowledge so that you can have a more enjoyable experience.
Think of Roads and Kingdom as the travel blog for folk who are really into their politics and you’re pretty much there.
If this is you? Check the blog out here:
Girl Tweets World
Come on – is there a better name for a blog than this?
If you haven’t seen 90’s teen sitcom Boy Meets World, you won’t get this fab pop culture reference. If you have – it’s amazing, right?
Girl Tweets World is maintained by Jayne, and it’s actually one of the biggest travel blogs in the world. In fact, Jayne has already won the highly coveted British Travel Press Award for Travel Blogger of the year, so she clearly knows her stuff.
Jayne was born in Britain but she nows lives in Australia. We say “lives” because, of course, she also does an awful lot of travelling.
She tweet a lot, too!
Jayne visits some really stylish destinations and eats some very cool food. If that sounds like something you’d be down with, you can check her out here.
Here’s a quote where she talks about how Twitter has changed the travel industry:
“Speaking from a personal perspective, Twitter has hugely shaped my travel plans, from inspiring me to visit a new destination to receiving recommendations on things to see and do from people who know the area. As a travel brand, Twitter provides a way for you to connect with and assist customers in an engaging and instant way, building up brand loyalty and a sense of community. Watching the way Twitter has changed the travel industry over the last few years has been phenomenal – I’m excited to see what happens next.”
Amateur Traveler
The thing about Amateur Traveler is that it started life as a podcast way back in 2005. Our point? Chris Christensen – the man behind the blog – can hardly be called an amateur anymore. He’s very much a pro who you should totally listen to.
Chris still produces new shows for his podcast, and he also blogs a lot. Both his podcast and his blog are award-winning and he uses them to help you plan your next adventure. The biggest conundrum he helps you solve is … “but where should we go next?|”
The blog now also includes videos and is sure to help you plot your next adventure, be it in Bali, Mexico or Japan.

P.S I’m On My Way
We love this name for a blog and think it might just be the best one in this list.
It was created by a female traveler called Trish who uses her blog to show you all the life lessons she’s picked up – and, indeed, is still picking up – on her travels over the years.
Trish is a Millennial and she also likes to share her thoughts on how Millennials have grown up, and how they prefer – in general – to spend their money on experiences rather than material things.
Trish loves to immerse herself in different languages and cultures and shows us what it’s like to cook, eat, speak and, yes, sleep in a world that will seem alien to so many people.
Even if you don’t visit the places Trish has been to, her blog is still well worth a read simply because of how fascinating it is.

Mrs O Around The World
Mrs O – otherwise known as Ana Silvia O’Reilly – is the award winning luxury travel blogger behind Mrs O Around The World.
It’s now 6 years since Ana launched her blog, and it’s become known for some stunning photos of some stunning locations.
See, Ana – or Mrs. O – knows how to live well. She travels to the best places, stays in the best places and eats in the best place.
And, yes, she also shops in the best places!
If you want some of that too, her blog is crammed full of tips and advice on the best places to go. She travels in style, baby!
Check Ana out here:
Here is a quote where she talks about the best place she’s visited:
“This isn’t an easy question for me for obvious reasons – and as a traveller, I am a ‘repeater’. I love going back to the places that bring me great memories. One of those special places is the Maldives, which I try to visit every year. I also visit New York and Los Angeles every year – almost religiously. And my hometown Lisbon, Portugal of course. Every summer we have the same routine: 5 days at Finca Cortesin in Spain, a week at the Pine Cliffs in the Algarve and 2 weeks in California, of week of which in Palm Springs. And the blog won’t change a bit because of that.”
Travels of Adam
As you’ve probably guessed, Travels of Adam is Adam’s travel blog. It’s actually one of the leading blogs of its kind and focuses on his personal stories as he travels to some pretty darn unique places.
Travel of Adam has a section dedicated entirely to Hipster City Guides, which should give you a pretty big clue as to what to expect on here.
Adam also cover lots of alternative topics, such as LGBT culture, and he also likes to visit art museums and film festivals.
If all of this sounds like your thing, you can check him out here:
Here’s a quote where Adam talks about the places he’s visited:
“I didn’t travel to as many places as I originally planned, but rather traveled slow and took things as they came. It started with a month in southern Spain, then to Morocco and Egypt before passing into Jordan, Israel and Palestine. When I was in Tel Aviv, rather than continue on to Turkey, I decided to volunteer at an Israeli-Palestinian NGO and spent the next four months learning all I could about the complicated region. After my volunteer internship, I left for India to try and find some solace in humanity before continuing on to Southeast Asia – backpacking in Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. In Vietnam, my $20,000 travel budget was on its last legs, so on the spur of the moment, I booked a ticket to Berlin, Germany with plans to backpack Europe. But I ended up never leaving Berlin…”
travelFREAK
Oh we, already like the sound of this one!
Jeremy Scott Fraser – come on, how amazing is that name? He sounds like an explorer! – is an adventurer and travel blogger who’s been featured in the National Geographic. That’s some credibility right there! He’s also an ace photographer who takes stunning photos of the many beautiful places he visits.
A lot of crazy stuff seems to happen to Jeremy when he’s on the road and he shares it all with you on his blog. He also gives you loads of helpful tips and advice on how to follow in his footsteps and shares some pretty gripping stories.
Check him out here:
Packing My Suitcase
We like the name of this blog because it really does make you want to pack your suitcase, doesn’t it?
Allane is the travel blogger behind Packing My Suitcase, a blog she uses to share her obsession with travelling.
Allane is one of those travellers who loves to plan. But once she’s out there, she’s as free as anyone else who goes travelling.
What we love about this blog is that you can really feel the passion leaping out at you from the screen. Allane is Brazilian and, as well as visiting a vast amount of countries, she’s also lived in as many as 5 different ones. She just loves meeting new cultures and people and getting in among them, and she shares all her experiences with you via her blog.
Check Allane – who now lives in Germany – out here.
Hand Luggage Only
Hand Luggage Only is a travel blog that’s nothing like Roads and Kingdoms. Yaya and Lloyd – the incredibly hilarious pairing who maintain this blog – love to travel. But perhaps more importantly, they also love food. Bring those two passions together and what do you have? An amazing blog!
The duo travel light a lot – hence the title – and get up to all kinds of funny shenanigans wherever they go. But they also take this seriously too, and the photos in their Photo Diary section are nothing short of breathtaking.
The pair have been to many places and done many things and seek to use their blog to inspire you with ideas for what to do on your next adventure.
Check them out here:
Be My Travel Muse
We’ve always wanted to be someone’s travel muse, but does it mean we get to go travelling with them … for free? We hope so!
Either way, Kristin is the gal behind Be My Travel Muse. She’s a traveller who uses her blog to detail her many adventures.
As a solo traveller, there are lots of issues that can pop up for Kristen and many others – not least loneliness – and she uses her blog to show how you can overcome them.
If you’re female and want to travel solo more often, Kristen shows you the way.
That said, you might not want to totally follow in her footsteps. Kristen quit her 9-5 job and stuffed everything she had left in her life into a carry-on bag and hit the road. But even if you just want to go solo for a month, her blog is well worth checking out.
Check it out here:
Here’s what she says:
“I’m guessing that you ended up here because, like me, you’re looking for the ultimate escape, a chance to get to know yourself better, or you just want to plan an immersive trip that isn’t the same thing that everyone else is doing. You want the life-changing experience, the kind that only adventurers have.
Maybe you’re looking for ways to maximize your paid time off, or maybe you’re looking to change your life completely, leaving behind the cubicle and embracing an adventure on the other side of the world. Maybe it’s something you’ve wanted your whole life, and nobody around you understands, but your desire for the adventure of a lifetime keeps the dream alive.
I know that’s not easy, and it can be pretty scary to go somewhere you’ve never been before, especially if you’re going it alone.
Does it sound familiar?
Well I totally get you, and I’m here to make it easier and more accessible for you!”
I Am Aileen
I Am Aileen is Aileen. She launched her blog just 4 years ago but her reputation has grown so rapidly that she’s already been featured on the likes of National Geographic and the BBC.
Her articles are chocked full with details and useful information. Her main aim is to show you that, where travel is concerned, anything is possible. Whatever travel dreams you have, wherever you want to go, see and do – you can do it.
Aileen did it. When she was 21, she was working a corporate job in the Philippines. When she realised that she hated it, she quit, travelled the world and launched her blog.
Check her and her stories out here:
Here’s a quote where Aileen talks about the bad experiences she’s had while travelling alone:
“I had my laptop stolen while we were traveling in France; it was such a huge shocker especially because it was new and I just bought it 2 weeks before. It was such a crazy day that it made me realize how material stuff can have so much hold on us — which is a boon and a bane. I’m usually unattached with my material possessions that in the past I wasn’t too affected when I lose my phone or wallet; but that day, it just hit me a lot because I really worked extra hard for that thing.”
Pitstops for Kids
Pitstops for Kids is – as the name of the blog surely suggests – your one-stop shop for reviews of the kid-friendly places people have stopped at on road trips.
It’s not your typical blog, but is instead a place where parents can leave helpful reviews that help other parents out who are planning to hit the road with their kids.
It’s a very handy resource, and if you have kids we definitely suggest that you check it out. Don’t forget to comment too and become a member of the community!

The Gypsy Nester
The Gypsy Nester is a travel blog maintained by active baby boomers David and Veronica who, despite their advancing years, are in no way ready to stop travelling and settle down just yet. And we salute them for it!
If you’re heading into the twilight years of your life yourself and wondering if you should get back on the road, this blog needs to be your inspiration.
There’s a lot we love about David and Veronica. We thrive off their enthusiasm and their quirky way of telling stories. We love the fun they clearly have, their sweet bond and their videos that are both informative and entertaining.
But what we think will inspire you the most is their sense of adventure. When their children left home, David and Veronica were at a crossroads. Do they just settle for what they’ve now got at home and wait for retirement? Do they kick back with the quiet life and Jeopardy?
Or do they take a risk and go against the grain? Do they sell their possessions and hit the road?
They chose the latter and become full-time travellers ten years ago. Then, they started blogging and the rest – as they say – is history.
The Educational Tourist
Natalie is a teacher by day and a traveller by night – or something like that.
Either way, her day job is teaching, and so when she goes travelling she makes it her duty to learn stuff.
And whatever she learns, she then shares with her readers on her blog.
Her site is home to a wealth of information on various parts of the world, and if you literally can’t get enough of Natalie, she’s also written 8 eBooks.

Expert Vagabond
Expert Vagabond is called Matt – yes, another Matt. He loves to travel, thirsts for adventure and he loves taking photos, too. So it made perfect sense for him to launch his own travel blog, right? Totally.
Matt wants to use his blog to inspire others – you – to go travelling, too. He wants to encourage you to just leave your home and GO FOR IT.
After all, we only live once.
Matt makes you want to travel because his blogs are so entertaining and he clearly loves seeing and trying new things. His enthusiasm is infectious and rubs off on his readers, and all it’s probably going to take is one gorgeous photo for you to be triggered into booking a flight TONIGHT.
Matt no longer travels as much as he used to (he used to pretty much travel all year round), but he still clocks up the miles and continues to share his adventures around the world with the world via his blog. The reason why he longer travels as much? Well, Matt only went and got married! His wife and himself have settled down in America, and he’s no longer such a “vagabond” anymore. However, he admits that he’s still curious and reassures us that he will continue blogging.
THANK GOSH.
Check out his blog here:
The Mother of All Trips
Mara is the brains – and the mom – behind The Mother of All Trips. She uses her blog to record her travel destinations, but she also uses it as a memoir of sorts.
And, yes, she does talk about the trials and tribulations of motherhood, too.
We kinda get the impression that her blog acts as a sort of catharsis for Mara. She wants to learn a lot about the world and her place in it, but she also wants to have a whole load of fun, too!
She includes her family in a lot of her posts and offers lots of friendly and helpful advice to families who are thinking about hitting the road.
Check Mara out here:
Ordinary Traveler
Ordinary Traveler is a very humble name for a travel blog, and we dig that. It’s maintained by Christy who documents the travels she goes on with her boyfriend, Scott.
The two of them are actually photographers who seem to spend an uncanny amount of time near the ocean. Hey, we’re not complaining; just as they lap up the ocean waves, we lap up their amazing photos.
The aim with the blog is to convince those who don’t have much vacation time that they can still travel, and Christy also uses the blog to showcase hidden travel destinations that you normally wouldn’t consider.
Check her blog out here:
Have Baby Will Travel
Ha! We love the name of this blog.
As you’ve probably guessed, it’s a family oriented travel blog that centres around a mom – Corinne – and her travel experiences with her two kids and husband.
Corinne wants to show moms and dads that you can totally go travelling with your young ‘un’s. She can do it, so why can’t you?
Corinne argues passionately that, just because we’ve had kids we shouldn’t then decide that certain things – such as travelling – are now off the menu. Life is too short! Wanna go travelling? Take your kid!
Hint – they wanna travel, too!
If you’re wondering how in the heck Corinne manages it, you can check her out here:
Here’s a quote where she talks about flying with a baby (you will find all kinds of useful advice like this on her site):
“A hungry baby is usually a grumpy baby, so feeding is one way to keep baby happy on board. Plus, it’s hard to cry or scream when there is a nipple or teething biscuit in your mouth. If your flight times are close to feeding times, try to hold off until you’re on board, as eating on a plane has other benefits for tiny travelers.
“Babies have narrower Eustachian tubes, and changes in cabin pressure during take-off and landing can cause extra pain for them. Swallowing helps relieve the pressure, and that can come in the form of nursing, a bottle, or a pacifier. If your baby is a lap infant, they are supposed to be held in the burping position during these times, but you can certainly breastfeed in this position.
“When traveling with a baby under two, you are exempt from carry-on liquid restrictions. Keep all of baby’s food and drink together in an insulated bag so it’s easy to show for security inspections, and use frozen puree instead of ice packs to keep it all cool. In case of delays, bring at least two more meals than you think you will need. Before your trip, get baby used to room temperature food and bottles — it will save you the hassle of heating while you’re en route.”
Jones Around the World
Don’t get us wrong, Jones Around the World is an okay name for a travel blog, but since the dude’s name is Dave Anderson, we just have to question where it came from.
Dave is a traveller who operates on a budget. He’s not rich but he’s literally been everywhere. If he can’t inspire you to pack up and go travelling on a budget, no one can.
His blog is insanely useful. On here, you’ll find extensive backpacking guides, music festival bucket lists, loads of photos, travel itineraries and – of course – a blog.
Dave literally never stops travelling or blogging, which is ace for him and us.
Check him out here.
The Blonde Abroad
The Blonde Abroad seems pretty self-explanatory: It’s the travel chronicles of a blonde abroad, right?
Its actually a lot more than that. As it says on the home page – set against a photo backdrop of a gorgeous, bikini-clad blonde on an sun-soaked beach – “an award winning female travel and lifestyle blog, featuring travel tips, fashion and photography from around the world.”
As well as a typical blog, there are also lots of cool videos on here that would make you jealous if you yourself wasn’t planning a trip anytime soon.
Of course, men can read the blog too, but it’s very much aimed at women who want to travel alone, but who at the moment might lack the courage and know-how to do so.
Kiersten – who runs the blog – is here to help you out. She’s travelled extensively (she’s visited more than 50 countries!) and she knows how travel solo as a woman. In other words, she’s got your back.

And here’s a quote:
“Many readers often ask how I can afford to keep traveling. A few times I’ve been asked if I’m secretly dating a sheik or am burning through a trust fund. How could a young lady such as my self possibly travel so often?
“The key is learning to live with less and, above all, compromise. After leaving my job in Los Angeles, I left my luxury apartment, two walk-in closets, my high-end gym membership and cut myself off from all beauty services. I thought these were all things I needed in order to be happy. Silly me.
“I moved my things back into my parents home (never thought that day would come) and began traveling with a backpack and a shoestring budget. For nearly three years I lived on less than $50 a day.
“Four years later, I am now on the road nine months of the year and have a six-member team helping run this site.”
Almost Fearless
Almost fearless … but not quite fearless?!
If you and your partner are now parents and you can no longer travel as much as you’d really like, this is the blog for you to check out.
Almost Fearless is maintained by parents who came to the realisation that they can excel at parenting and travelling.
And blogging too, of course. Multi-talented, you see.
If you’re an active parent and want to take your kids with you on your travels, check Almost Fearless out here. As well as travel tips, the blog also offers advice on clothes you should all wear, as well as advice on how to prepare for life on the road with the whole family in tow.
Backpacking Matt
Er so, yeah … another Matt.
What is it about Matt’s that love travelling so much?!
We’re not sure, but the brains behind Backpacking Matt is one cool dude who’s a bit niche: His main focus centres on backpacking in New Zealand.
It’s one heck of a gorgeous country, so if you’ve ever been a tad curious about backpacking around it, this is definitely a blog to be checking out. Matt shows you how it’s done, where to go, and even if you don’t actually visit NZ yourself, you’ll still get a massive kick out of reading his own stories of exploration and checking out his photos.

Camels and Chocolate
Camels and Chocolate is such an intriguing name for a travel blog that we just had to check it out.
And we won’t lie – we were kinda hoping that it was more about chocolate than camels.
So what is it about and why is it so named?
Well, it’s Kristin’s blog, a woman who, well, loves to travel! She uses her blog to share with you her personal experiences in faraway countries.
What we love about Kristen is that whatever she does – be it riding camels – and whatever she eats – chocolate in a Turkish cafe, anyone – she doesn’t use her blog to tell you what you should do, too. Instead, she hopes to inspire you to get off your own sofa and go and do what she does – travel and live the life that you want to live!
And if you’re not sold on Kristen’s credentials, check this out: She’s contributed to Forbes. Oh, yeah!

Goats On The Road
Camels, goats … whatever next?!
Goats on the Road is an award winning travel blog maintained by Nick and Dariece. Their aim with their blog is to use it to convince others – you – to make travelling a lifestyle.
Nick and Dariece live a location independent lifestyle and they’ve really made it work. If you’ve ever been at all curious to know how to make it work, their blog is definitely worth following. They share advice on how to make cash while out on the road and – perhaps more importantly – they also share advice on how to save cash while out on the road.
As well as being actual nomads, Dariece and Nick are also digital nomads who are very much in tune with online marketing. They produce a ton of content and share weekly videos that should ultimately make you as excited about a nomadic existence as they are.

Jet Set Family
Nicole is the brains behind Jet Set Family – she’s the Jet Set Mom!
The name of her blog comes from her luxury PR background, and she clearly has a lot of love for the jet set lifestyle.
Then, when she had a baby, it was time to bring Jet Set Tot along to her and her partners jet set lifestyle!
Her blog began life as an online diary of sorts that detailed her family’s life on the road/plane, before evolving into a luxury travel blog that now welcomes contributions from other bloggers who enjoy the same kind of lifestyle.
Check the blog out here:
Here’s a quote from Nicole where she talks about the things that inspire her the most:
“If you haven’t already guessed, my daughter is my world. She inspires me every day to be a better person and to live life to the fullest. I’m also greatly inspired by travel. It doesn’t matter if I’m behind the wheel on a road trip, or seeing a city for the first time, being out of the comfort zone of my home always inspires me instantaneously. I feel the most creative when I’m alone, or off on the sidelines watching, and always when I’m somewhere new. I think that’s why I love traveling, collecting passport stamps, and going on road trips. It’s when I feel most alive.”
Nomadic Boys
As you’ll have noticed by now, a lot of the travellers in this article are self-professed nomads. They’re location independent travellers who are married to the road.
Most of them are solo travellers, but Stefan and Sebastien – the loved up couple behind Nomadic Boys – are two men who hail from Europe, but who can currently be found travelling around Argentina.
These guys are super cute and super hot in the travel industry right now, which they are taking by storm. The aim with their blog is to encourage other gay couples to do what they did: Leave their comfort zone and go travelling.

Why Wait To See The World
Stephanie and Megan have a question for you:
Why wait to see the world?!
Most people say they want to see the world, but most people also come up with reasons as to why they can’t. Most of the time, these reasons don’t stack up – as Stephanie and Megan will prove in their blog.
The blog is aimed at millennials who just need a good kick up the butt to get out there and get travelling. Stephanie and Megan will give you the motivation you need to do it, and they’ll also be kind enough to show you how to do it. Because they’re that awesome!
Check their blog out here:
Here’s what they have to say about why you shouldn’t wait to see the world:
“We believe that traveling while you’re young is an invaluable experience. Sure you COULD wait until you’re old and gray and nothing else is standing in your way, but the benefits that come from traveling earlier in life are huge. Never again will you be as energetic, youthful or jazzed up as you are right now. The people you meet, the skills you learn and the opportunities for cross-cultural understanding will stay with you for life.
“Traveling doesn’t need to mean dropping your entire life and taking off with only a backpack. Whether you want to take extremely large steps or small weekend adventures to see the world, that’s ok, and we support you! The important thing is not to wait! Traveling can come in all shapes and sizes, and we aren’t here to put experiences in little labeled boxes we just want you to not put it off until tomorrow.”
My Life’s a Movie
Know what? We wish our life was a movie.
It isn’t – but Alyssa’s life is.
Who’s Alyssa? She’s a Cuban American who lives in Florida.
She’s also a GoPro master and loves to get under the water.
She’s actually a part of the GoPro family who writes often for media publications like Matador Network and Huffington Post.
She shares a lot of travel tips on her blog that you can catch here:
California Through My Lens
California is a pretty epic place.
Not convinced? Then you NEED to check this blog out.
Josh is the man behind California Through My Lens. He’s a travel junkie, a photographer – and a total California fanboy.
Not that that’s a bad thing. Once you take a look at his blog – and especially his pics – we’re confident you’ll be doing all that you can to get to the West Coast.
Through his blog, Josh shows us that there’s SO much more to Cali than just surfer dudes, hot chicks and oranges. There’s many hidden wonders, vast wilderness, mountainous regions and kick-ass food. It’s an amazing place.
Take the tour with Josh and let him inspire you here:
Keep Calm and Travel
Keep Calm and Travel (which, by the way, is yet another awesome name for a blog) is maintained by Cleila.
She was a bit of a late starter when it came to travelling. In fact, she didn’t hit the road until she was 35. If you’re starting to feel a bit old and you’re not sure you’ve got it in you to pack up and go travelling, Cleila’s blog could be all the inspiration you’ve been looking for.

Backpack Banter
It comes as no surprise to us that the man behind a blog with “Banter” in it is British. To give credit to the guy, however, Chris does now live in Australia (we reckon he might have got tired of all that British rain).
Chris is really good at a few things: He’s really good at travelling, taking photos and making videos.
And judging by the looks of his gorgeous girlfriend, he’s also a pretty darn good boyfriend, too.
Chris recently made a video about his excursion to the Maldives, but it comes with a warning from us: If you watch it, you might just quit your day job!
Chris also likes to travel and you can check his blog out here:
Dan Flying Solo
Can the name of a blog be any more self explanatory than this one?
Meet Dan the Flying Man! (no, he doesn’t call himself that, we just made it up. He’s not as lame as us)
Dan is a man who’s been on the road for 3 years. He lives and breathes travelling, taking pics and writing. His blog is a treasure trove of tales and tips, and it combines text content with video content. It’s a blast.

Travel Break
Travel Break is a travel blog maintained by Steph Be, who lives in California. She’s been featured on CNN, as well as the likes of Forbes, Elite Daily and Huffington Post.
Step is a great writer who creates some kick-ass content. And like many of the bloggers on this list, she’s also pretty darn good at photography, too.
However, owing to her background in marketing, where she really excels is on social media. As such, as well as learning more about travelling, you can also learn more about how to promote your own blog on social media and market yourself.

Everything Everywhere
Everything Everywhere … you know, we kinda like the sound of that!
Gary is the man behind this blog. What you might notice more than anything else is how stunning his photos are.
This is hardly surprising: Gary is a 3-time Travel Photographer of the year winner.
He’s also been to 180 countries.
And 7 continents.
And he’s ready to give you a 100-page travel photography eBook for free.
He loves his numbers (clearly), he loves travelling and he loves you. Go check him out here:
Drew Binksky
Doesn’t Drew have the cutest name ever? Binksy. Go on, say it – Binksy.
Aww.
Anyway!
Drew hails from Arizona, but despite all that year-round sunshine and warmth, he hasn’t hung around there too much. Drew travels a LOT. He claims to have visited around 120 different countries since 2012 and has studied in the Czech Republic. He’s also lived in a small village in South Korea, but his all-time fav country is the Philippines.
Here’s what he has to say about the Philippines:
“The most important aspect for me, and the first thing I look for when travelling is absolutely the people, they make or break my experience. The Philippines is really my favorite country in the world. I just love their hospitality, their over-the-top friendliness, they are always so welcoming and happy to meet you, and it is great that they all speak English, so there’s not a huge cultural barrier there. I also look for interesting cultures while travelling, I always try to go off the beaten path. These things are much more important to me than the food, the prices or the weather in the country .”
As well as his own blog, Drew has also written for other media publications, including the Huffington Post and Elite Daily.

The Blog Abroad
The Blog Abroad is maintained by Arizona girl Gloria (who calls herself Glo for short).
Glo is a girl with lots of strong opinions that she isn’t afraid to voice. She writes well, creates awesome content and also takes amazing pics. Her work has been featured in the likes of Thought Catalog and Huffington Post, and you can check her out here:
Wandering Earl
Wandering Earl is actually Derek’s blog (his middle name is Earl), and he’s been on the road since … 1999!
A true road dog, he’s done the lot: He’s seen it, lived it, blogged about it and wants to share his experiences and travel advice with you, dear intrepid traveler.
It doesn’t matter if you’ve never traveled before or if you consider yourself to be widely traveled, Earl’s blog is for anyone who has the travel bug. His blog is simple but what we love about it more than anything else is how authentic it is. It’s Earl, going out there and meeting local people and sharing his stories with you.

A Broken Backpack
Seriously now, you’re going to love A Broken Backpack.
Like, for real.
Melissa is the girl behind this blog. She travels a lot, and she opens her heart a lot. And although we’ve never met her, we feel strongly that she could well be the nicest girl we’ve never met.
She’s got a blog, and she’s also on youtube snapchat. She’s talented, her work has been published on The Huffington Post, and you can check her out here:
Boarders and Adventures
Oooh, we love how the title of this blog is spelled. We’re suckers for a bit of word play!
Boarders and Adventures is Becki’s blog. She’s a British Travel Press award winner who clearly knows what she’s talking about. Her aim with her travel blog is to change peoples’ perceptions of roads less travelled. In other words, she goes to places she claims are misunderstood, and seeks to show us that there’s a LOT that can be enjoyed in these countries.
Becki also uses her blog to educate people on the various historical, social, cultural and political backdrops that make up the places she visits so that, when others follow in her footsteps, they can travel with greater responsibility. Hey, she’s just looking out for us.
Check her blog here:
The Planet D
We’re wondering why this travel blog is called the Planet D, but because the couple behind it are called Dave and Deb, we’re thinking that that might be why!
Their motto is “adventure is for everyone” and it’s their mission to show you that you – yes, you – can be an adventurer, too. As they put it, you don’t need to be “you don’t have to be an uber-athlete, adrenaline junkie or part of the ultra rich to be an adventurer. All you need is the desire.”
We like the cut of their gib, and we think that this is a blog many of our readers will be impressed by. Moreover, it’s highly likely that Dave and Deb are just like you. They weren’t born ready-made travellers. In fact, they had careers and only started going on adventures later in life.
They are now 100% adrenaline/travel junkies who want to bring out the adrenaline/travel junkie in you. Remarkably they were named by Forbes as one of the top 10 influencers in the world!
Check them out here:
Here’s a quote:
“We were caught in the rat race, feeling trapped by our lives and constantly searching for something more. We have been married for 20 years and have always lived a life less ordinary. But it wasn’t until 2008 that we finally found what we had been searching for all along…our passion. That passion turned out to be travel. And it paid off too! We’ve not only been able to make a living out of our travels, we have also won several awards and have had the opportunity to work with some of the largest travel brands and companies as spokespeople and brand ambassadors.”
Travel With Bender
Okay, no, we’re not sure about the name of this blog either, but it’s named after its creator, Erin Bender.
Eric has been a self-professed nomad since 2012. She’s visited over 70 different countries, but at least she hasn’t done this alone. As well as her faithful readership, Erin has also had her husband and her 2 kids by her side.
Together, they left the family home in Perth, Australia 6 years ago and have been revelling in the nomadic existence ever since. Their journeys have taken them all over the world and all we can think is – how amazing must this be for the children?!
The great thing about Erin and her family is that they don’t plan anything – they just go ahead and do it! And whether they’re staying in cheap hostels or 5 star hotels, they always have a lot of fun.
Warning, though: If you get jealous easy, it’s probably not a good idea to check this blog.
If you don’t get jelly easily and you fancy taking your family out on the road, check out Erin and her family here.
Jungles In Paris
Jungles in Paris is an intriguing name for a travel blog, and it certainly got us in the Beauty and Tips office wondering … are there jungles in Paris that we don’t know about?!
Of course there aren’t!
What Jungles in Paris as a blog sets out to do is highlight the subjects that most people don’t want to talk about. In other words, topics such as endangerment and extinction. This could be wildlife, a destination or even a local culture.
It’s an eye opening blog that educates and if, nothing else, gets you thinking. The aim of the blog is to give you an insight into some of the places you’re visiting, getting you to think more about what’s really going on there and what you can do to help.
It’s blog that’s been described by the New york Times as “an artistic armchair travel platform.”
